Psychogeography:
social over spatial,
emotion over location.
social over spatial,
emotion over location.
Urban Drifting
2026 – ongoing
3D scans, writing, sound, drawing, music, photos
An ongoing practice of recording London through psychogeography. Borrowing from the dérive, I drift through the city without a fixed route. When a moment stays with me, I record it in every way I can: scanning it in 3D, writing it down, recording its sound, drawing it. Each medium catches a different part of the same moment.
The focus is emotion rather than location: not where something happened, but how it felt to be there. The scans are never complete. Holes, glitches and melted edges appear wherever the street refused to stay still — a passer-by, a moving bus, a shifting crowd. In these gaps the city reveals itself as social rather than spatial, shaped less by its buildings than by the people moving through them.
Alongside the records, I make small pieces of music in response to the images. The responses are loose rather than literal: they follow the feeling of an image, not a fixed rule for turning it into sound. Together, these records form a map of the city drawn by feeling rather than by streets.
